Update 13/9/19

The road is back open again, and we have been assured by Northumbrian Water that they do not intend to close it again, but MAY have to use traffic lights on the stretch of road as they carry out verge work.

In addition other roadworks MAY be needed close to the site which will be controlled by traffic lights.

They expect to be off the West Wylam site by December 2019.

The contractors have carried out some road and footpath repairs near Eastwoods villas.

NCC have also done some road patching, but this is a temporary measure until the NW work is completed and substantial road repairs are carried out as soon as practicable.

This will be part of our major road investment programme for Prudhoe.
