The votes have been counted and we are delighted to announce that the winner of Prudhoe Christmas Tree Festival is:

Highfield Middle School (£50 prize from Gentoo Group)

The two runners up are:

1st Prudhoe Brownies and Guides and Mini Me Hair and Beauty Academy (£25 prize each from Gentoo Group)

Thank you to everyone who entered a tree and to all of the organisers and volunteers from Prudhoe Parish Church and Prudhoe Methodist Church and Prudhoe Matters

All of the funds raised will go towards reducing loneliness of older people in Northumberland and we will announce the total early next week!

 

We are, and we are sure so many people are as well.

Lets share what is good about the town not just via social media but when we chat to people about the town.

NCC believes that only signs that are really nessercery should be in place to save confusion, distraction of drivers and avoid clutter.

But at times the lives of residents can be improved by adding signs, such as the one requested by residents in the below street who suffered severe inconvenience due to HGV’s taking the wrong turning following sat navs.

The problem has now been reduced greatly now.
