Northumbria Police update CLICK HERE

Northumbria Police have confirmed they will look to ‘engage’ and ‘encourage’ the public to follow stay-at-home restrictions – but where necessary will take firmer action.

Government legislation was passed this week that granted police new powers to enforce the restrictions put in place to prevent the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19) and save lives.

PRUDHOE

Please read this !
Stay at home and comply with these common sense rules.

Every time someone decides to go against the rules is endangering the lives of so many people.

We have had some very worrying reports about older people meeting in groups around the town, clearly not taking the situation seriously and they are at incredible risk.

This is not a game !

Whoever you are whatever your age this is one of the serious situations the world has known.

People are dying in great numbers

The death rate can be reduced by everyone INCLUDING YOU & your family / friends just by complying with the rules. #Simple

We are dealing with a very large number of enquiries today and continue to work closely with PTC and many other organisations.

Our secondary facebook page PrudhoeNland is there to support Prudhoe community groups & businesses who are welcome to use it at anytime.

We are also posting Govt guidance there on a regular basis
