This is one of the main car parks in #Prudhoe and had become overgrown and generally poorly maintained for a long time.
There was a fear of crime by many users and it gave the wrong impression of the town to visitors.
This probably had a knock on effect upon #PrudhoeBusiness and #TynedaleJobs
As a result a meeting took place including various officers from NCC and it was agreed that a lot of work and effort would be put into making the area far more pleasant.
The vast majority of the work has now been completed. (A bit more needs to be done due to cars that had been parked in the area).
But the car park has had hedges and trees cut back,litter cleared, gullies cleaned, the car park surface cleared of mud and swept.
The street lighting will soon be improved.
A massive thanks is owed to the NCC team for carrying out the work to such a good standard.
