A message from the Prudhoe Poppets team-
A play and creative session run by local volunteers for the benefit of the local community.
Held every Friday in the East Centre between 10:00hrs and 14:00hrs. With toys available for kids to play with and light refreshments for both parents/guardians and children.
With both indoor and outdoor spaces its a great environment for your children to socialise, play and grow within the local community.
As the session runs over a lunchtime, parents/guardians are welcome to bring their own food to enjoy as part of the session.
We endeavour to provide a welcoming and comfortable environment for children with additional needs or disabilities – this is an area we are not experienced in so any ideas of what we can do to make the session successful is much appreciated!
Prudhoe and surrounding areas is lacking a good play session that accommodates a wide range of ages and operates both during term time and in the school holidays. A Friday has been chosen as we are aware nothing currently runs on this day therefore we feel it would be of benefit to local families and community if we can offer this.

The new administration has created five local area councils which gives local decision making and accountability back to the communities.
This will make a massive saving of money over the next four years.
For some strange reason Prudhoe was linked with areas such as Ponteland and Morpeth so far as local services were concerned.
Now we have linked the services to the area councils boundaries.
i.e Local services will now be dealt with by the team who have been dealing with all other parts of Tynedale.
This took effect from the 1st August 2017.
