Waterworld is a popular facility for residents and visitors.

It is located close to Prudhoe Town Centre and various housing estates.

It has a large FREE car park, with EV chargers within a short distance away and is on a bus route.

Update on major investment at Prudhoe Waterworld ( 27/4/25)

Rumours have been circulating that the pool etc will not be ready until the summer, some of these rumours have been ‘invented’ by someone who should know better.

The facts

I can not give an exact date for the opening but I can say, I expect it to be fully open and very busy by mid May 2025, if not a lot earlier……

Refilling of the swimming pool is on the critical path for achieving an opening date of the facility.

That is a somewhat complicated process,it is far from just turning on a bath tap I have been assured.

I understand the construction work is complete and the facility is in the process of being ‘handed over’
Pool filling process will take several days to complete..
Pool plant commissioning – progressing.
Water quality testing and any necessary remedial action will be carried out after that. – Update awaited
Pool water testing result- awaited.
Pool staff training – Progressing.
Pool reopening on – TBC but as always we will keep you informed.

** More internal investment to the WW building has been discussed but due to the pre election period details cannot be given at this time.
