Eastwoods Park had been abandoned for decades, with a total lack of investment being made and no plan for its future.
It had become an area residents were ashamed of and at times steered well away from.
But since 2017 a coordinated effort has now turned it into the jewel in Prudhoe’s crown.
This page has been created to remind everyone how the the great Prudhoe Community working together can achieve so much.
Eastwoods park is now an award winning park that is loved by so many local people and visitors.
Thank you to everyone who has helped in anyway, and special thanks to those who have been working tirelessly since 2017 and continue to do so to this time.
Not everything can be mentioned on this page in detail, such as the cafe, toilets, community hub support, events big & small, pandemic support, improvements to the football pavilion & pitches, the additional car parking area, the new wetland area, the new seats and bins.

County councillor Gordon Stewart, who represents Prudhoe South, said: “These celebrations are so important to the town. The area was neglected for decades, but since 2017, substantial investment has been made as the community has pulled together and created an ever-improving area available for all to enjoy.
“The investment is continuing with a playzone being constructed soon. I am delighted to support the celebrations with a significant amount of funding being agreed upon by Northumberland County Council. I am looking forward to attending on both days and showing off this area which now helps everyone to be very proud of Prudhoe.”

Thank you all.
